RIDE TV To Exclusively Broadcast Quarter Horse Triple Crown

FORT WORTH, TX & RUIDOSO DOWNS, NM—APRIL 19, 2018—Ride Television Network, Inc., (RIDE TV) is the official broadcast partner to Ruidoso Downs Race Track & Casino (Ruidoso) for the telecast of the 2018 series of Quarter Horse races known as the Triple Crown.

RIDE TV will broadcast a total six Grade 1 stakes races live on the network during the summer and stream the timed trials for these events on RIDE TV GO. All three finals will be live, exclusively on RIDE TV.

Ruidoso conducts the $3 Million All American Futurity - the richest Quarter Race anywhere - and, along with the Ruidoso and Rainbow series, comprises the Triple Crown of Quarter Horse racing. Each leg of the three-race series has a race for two-year-old Quarter Horses and 3-year-old Quarter Horses. Coverage also includes streaming the qualifying timed trials that will be conducted two weeks prior to each final stakes event.

"RIDE TV is proud to partner with Ruidoso Downs again in 2018 as the exclusive television provider for RICHEST Quarter Horse racing action in the world." said Craig Morris, President of RIDE TV. "These events are important to our audience and provide great Quarter Horse racing action to a group of people who may have never been exposed before. Mr. Hubbard, one of our major shareholders, recently sold the track, and we are looking forward to continuing a great partnership with the new owners and Jeff True. Most people are familiar with the Triple Crown of Thoroughbred racing, but many have never seen the drag racing-type action that Quarter Horses provide. It’s quick, it’s exciting and there is a whole lot of money up for grabs."

"RIDE TV is a great broadcast partner and has proven their ability to reach an audience that cares about Quarter Horse racing," said Jeff True, President and GM of Ruidoso Downs Racetrack and Casino. "The Triple Crown series consists of $13.6 million in purse and bonus money including six final stakes races preceded by nine days of timed trials throughout the summer. This telecast deal is good for Ruidoso, the Quarter Horse racing industry, and RIDE TV."
