RUIDOSO, NM—SEPTEMBER 18, 2018—Ruidoso Downs Racetrack and Casino, America’s preeminent quarter horse race track, in conjunction with Rainmakers Resort and Club and the Spencer Performing Arts Theater, jointly announce the inaugural RAIN DANCE gala event to take place in July of 2019 in the Sacramento Mountains near Ruidoso, New Mexico.

RAIN DANCE will be an upscale, gala event surrounded by numerous activities taking place in the greater Ruidoso area. Currently planned activities include the $1 million Rainbow Futurity and Derby horse race(s) scheduled for July 20-21 and the Rainbow time trials on July 5-7; Friday, July 12 there will be a golf tournament at Rainmakers Resort, the region’s top-rated golf course; on Saturday, July 13 will be the grand charity gala to be held at Rainmakers Resort and Club.

Additionally, there will be numerous concerts and programs throughout July at the Spencer Theater.

Proceeds from the events will go to various charities including the Lincoln County Medical Center building fund.

RAIN DANCE will welcome visitors from throughout the southwest who have each summer for generations made a pilgrimage to the cool mountains for horse racing, golf, and relaxation.
