PORTLAND, OR—FEBRUARY 8, 2015—Miguel Sanguino’s Chicks Special Angel, a multiple stakes winning 7-year-old daughter of Chickspecialmongoose, is the 3-1 morning-line choice in Sunday’s 440-yard, $12,000-added Portland Meadows Bonus Challenge Stakes.
Trained by Jose Sanguino, Chicks Special Angel is coming off of a three-quarter length victory as the 11-10 favorite in an open-condition 350-yard, $5,000 allowance at Portland Meadows on January 25. The mare drew post 9 and will be ridden by Jorge Rosales on Sunday.
Chicks Special Angel’s nine opponents include CM Got Overserved, a homebred 6-year-old Corona For Me gelding racing for Randy Dickerson from the barn of trainer Nick Lowe. CM Got Overserved has won two consecutive races, including the 400-yard, $8,000 Winter Handicap on January 18.
CM Got Overserved will be ridden by Luis F. Gonzalez from the rail post in the Portland Meadows Bonus Challenge.
