Rillito Stakes Winner Downtown Richard Returns in $17,950 Sonoita Ranchers Challenge

SONOITA, AZ—MAY 1, 2015—Rigoberto Guillen’s Downtown Richard, a stakes winner during the recently concluded Rillito Park meet in Tucson, is one of eight sprinters entered in Sunday’s 350-yard, $17,950 AQHA Sonoita Ranchers Challenge Stakes at the Santa Cruz County Fairgrounds.

Downtown Richard is a 7-year-old son of the Count Corona stallion Kelowna Kash trained by Benito Guillen Vega. The gelding has won both of his starts this season, including the 300-yard, $15,000 Joe Reed Stakes at Rillito on April 10, and he has earned $17,815.

Downtown Richard drew post 3 and will be ridden by Emilio Tapia.
