Ynot Walk, Lil Dip A Nitro Scores Challenge Wins at Les Bois Park

BOISE, ID—JULY 29, 2015—Ynot Walk and Lil Dip A Nitro each earned starting spots in their respective Challenge Championship races on November 7th after winning the Adequan Les Bois Derby Challenge and the Zoetis Les Bois Distance Challenge at Les Bois Park on Wednesday evening.

Adequan Les Bois Derby Challenge

Grade 1 winner Ynot Walk got his second stakes win of 2015 Wednesday evening following a half-length victory over James First Affair in the $42,030 Adequan Les Bois Challenge Derby at Les Bois Park. Getoutofthefastlane finished a neck back in third place.

Ridden by jockey Eddie Aceves, Ynot Walk broke on top drifted down the stretch while covering the 400 yards in a quick :19.509 clocking to earn a 99 speed index. It was the fourth consecutive win for the Walk Thru Fire gelding this season and the $19,334 winner's purse boosted his career earnings total to nearly $160,000. Earlier this year he won the Grade 1 Los Alamitos Winter Derby.

James Hanson conditions the California-bred for owners RTM Stables, LLC and George Weldon. Bred from the Chicks Beduino mare Ynot Bar, Ynot Walk's record stands at (14) 7-3-2. Steve Burns, DVM is the breeder.

Hanson also saddled runner-up, James First Affair for owners RTM Stables, LLC, Larry Chapple and Robin Dunn. Also a stakes winner, James First Affair was ridden by Tony Guymon. Tom Bradbury and Kim Kissinger bred the Ivory James colt, out of Fancys First Affair by First Down Dash, in Oklahoma. The $8,406 runner-up check brought the brown colt's earnings to $77,558.

Getoutofthefastlane, an Idaho bred son of Ivory James, races for owner/breeder Bryon Goody and trainer Michael Monson. Jose Figueroa had the riding assignment and earned $4,203 for the effort. Getoutofthefastlane is out of the Streakin La Jolla mare Cruel Summer.

Steinway Ivory, Battle Scar, Bh Lisas Boy, Hotrod James, Tsunami Kidd, Heza Shocker and Monvin Assets completed the field.

Zoetis Les Bois Distance Challenge

At 16-1 odds, Jockey Robert Burney rode Lil Dip A Nitro to a one-length victory over posttime favorite Hastbealeader in the $27,270 Zoetis Les Bois Distance Challenge. Panther Purrfect finished another length back in the show position.

Trained by Bill Hoburg, Lil Dip A Nitro completed the 870 yards in :45.911 seconds to pickup the winner's purse of $13,090. The 5-year-old son of Royal Miracle Dip races for owner/breeders Dawana Jenkins and Dennis Cain.

The Idaho home-bred, out of the Twaynas Dash mare Attract, is a multiple stakes winner of six races and had earned $40,984. He entered the race off a third place effort to fastest qualifier Hastabealeader in the July 15 trials.

Looking for this third straight win Hastabealeader was forced to settle for second place, earning $5,590 for owner John Johnson. Robert Don Johnson trains the Hasta Be Fast Wyoming-bred 5-year-old out of Leadmetoyourladder, by Special Leader. Eddie Aceves had the riding assignment bringing the geldings earnings to $94,172. Wardell Quarter Horses is the breeder.

Johnson also saddled third place finisher Panther Purrfect for owner/breeder Legacy Ranch. The North Dakota-bred daughter of Panther Mountain picked up $2,727 for her effort. Tony Guymon rode the 4-year-old mare out of Toast To Gypsy by Toast to Dash.

Cmb Numero Uno finished four but disqualified and placed last for interference. Completing the official order of finish were Makinabundle, Zonic Zoom, Larryville, Queens Prince Gol and Cmb Numero Uno.
