Tiny Flying Corona Wins AQHA/Evergreen Park Bonus Challenge
GRANDE PRAIRIE, ALB—AUGUST 29, 2015—Charles Stojan's Tiny Flying Corona defeated Im Hott Ur Nott by three-quarters in the $17,888 AQHA/Evergreen Park Bonus Challenge Saturday at Grand Prairie.
Ridden by jockey Ricardo Moreno the sorrel gelding covered the 350 yards in a quick :17.490 seconds to earn a 108 speed index with a 15 mph crosswind.
William Leech saddled the Tiny First Corona 5-year-old to his 11th career win. The $6,773(US) winner's purse boosted the gelding's earnings to more than $80,000. Parsons Family Limited Partnership bred Tiny Flying Corona from the Chicks Beduino mare Pj Phoebes Flying.
Im Hott Ur Nott finished one-length in front of Pow Wow Lane who was third.
Invisible Wagon, Ode Tah Ed and Mals First Down completed the field.
