ALTOONA, IA—SEPTEMBER 10, 2015—Michael A. Pohl’s This Wagons Okay is the morning-line favorite for Saturday’s 440-yard, $73,440 Bank of America Prairie Meadows Championship Challenge (G2), one of four Challenge races set for Saturday night at Prairie Meadows.

A homebred 4-year-old son of Pyc Paint Your Wagon trained by Randy Hill, This Wagons Okay ships in from Minnesota, where the gelding scored a 1 1/4-length victory in the 400-yard, $28,000 Great Lakes Stakes at Canterbury Park on the Fourth of July. This Wagons Okay has won two of his three outs at Prairie Meadows, including last year’s $106,000 Altoona Derby.

The Bank of America Prairie Meadows Championship Challenge will mark This Wagons Okay’s first start at the classic Quarter Horse distance of 440 yards. The gelding drew post 5 and will be ridden by Jorge Torres.

John Deere Prairie Meadows Juvenile Challenge

Also on Saturday, a full field of 10 2-year-olds has been entered back in the 350-yard, $54,900 John Deere Prairie Meadows Juvenile Challenge.

Gone All In, the fastest qualifier and 3-1 morning-line choice, drew post 9 and will be ridden by Cody Smith. A brown daughter of champion Tres Seis trained by Jason Olmstead for owners Faye Reeves and Gene Reeves, the filly ran second, a head behind winner Eagles Span, in the July 5, $100,000 Mystic Lake Northlands Futurity at Canterbury Park.

Adequan Prairie Meadows Derby Challenge

Fastest qualifier AJs High, a homebred Apollitical Jess gelding owned by Michael Teel, puts his undefeated streak at this track on the line in Saturday’s 400-yard, $43,020 Adequan Prairie Meadows Derby Challenge.

Trained by Charley Hunt, AJs High is coming off of a one-length victory as the odds-on favorite in the first of two trials on August 28. The gelding has won six of nine starts, including all four of his outs at Prairie Meadows, and he has earned $262,705.

AJs High drew post 9 and will be ridden by Stormy Smith.

Prairie Meadows Distaff Challenge

A field of 11 fillies and mares has been entered in the 400-yard, $32,580 Prairie Meadows Distaff Challenge on Saturday.

Diane Murphy’s Sudden Separation, a homebred 4-year-old daughter of champion Inseperable trained by Larry Sharp, won two of her three starts at the Fair Meadows at Tulsa summer meet, both against stakes company.

Sudden Separation is the 3-1 morning-line favorite, James Flores will ride the mare from post 2 on Saturday.

Other contenders include Send Me This Wagon, a homebred 4-year-old Pyc Paint Your Wagon mare trained by Randy Hill for owner Michael Pohl. A stakes winner at Canterbury Park on August 2, Send Me This Wagon is a half sister to Jess Good Candy, the winner of Monday’s $3-million All American Futurity (G1) at Ruidoso Downs.

Send Me This Wagon drew post 6 and will be ridden by Jorge Torres.
