MILES CITY, MT—MAY 21, 2016—Cc Tres went wire-to-wire in the $11,700 BHS Bank of America Bonus Racing Challenge (not black type) to score a neck victory over Bankas Chocolate Saturday afternoon at Miles City. Miss Country Chicks was another neck back in the blanket finish to get third.
Ridden by jockey Juan Ramirez, Cc Tres covered the 350 yard course in :18.215 seconds, an 89 speed index with a 10 mph crosswind. The $5,580 winner's purse brings the 6-year-olds earnings total to $46,684.
David Greene conditions the stakes winning Tres Seis' mare of owner Ralph Young. Bred in Texas by Evans and Evans, Cc Tres is out of the Chicks Beduino mare Shaded In Gray. She has compiled a record of (26) 6-7-2.
Bruce Hillman saddled runner-up Bankas Chocolate for owner/breeder Robert Harrison. Jockey Raymundo Torres was aboard the Mr Jesse Lee filly out of Cashabanka, by Deregulate. The Idaho homebred earned $2,457 for her effort.
Miss Country Chicks, a 7-year-old Country Chicks Man mare out of Legacy Echo by Cash Legacy, races for owner Jess Matt and trainer Leroy Coombs. Efren Prado had the riding call. Bred in Colorado by Larry Collins, Miss Country Chicks picked up $1,755 for finishing third.
Go Jakes Dynasty, Night Time Stoli and Cash N Perry completed the field.
