ALTOONA, IA—SEPTEMBER 2, 2017—Graded stakes winner Tlc Dale rallied in the first of two trials Saturday to turn back a couple of graded winners and post the top qualifying time in the $60,000 Bank of America Prairie Meadows Challenge Championship trials.

The 10 fastest qualifiers will return Saturday, September 16th to vie for the winner's share of the purse over 440 yards. Also at stake is a starting spot in the $330,000 Guaranteed Bank of America Challenge Championship(G1) October 14th at Prairie Meadows.

Ridden by jockey Raul Gutierrez, Tlc Dale completed the 440 yards in :21.556 seconds, a 104 speed index into a 5 mph crosswind, to get the top qualifying time. Frank Ramirez is the trainer.

A Texas homebred for owner/breeder Rogelio Garza, the son of champion sire The Louisiana Cartel has compiled a (16) 6-5-2 record and earned $185,444. The Sam Houston Derby(G3) winner is out of the Okey Dokey Dale mare Halies Dale.

Graded stakes winners Ajs High and The Fiscal Cliff finished a head back in the blanket finish to get the second and third fastest qualifying time.
