Lightly Raced Tempting Annee Gl Sets Top Mark in Will Rogers Juvenile Trials

CLAREMORE, OK—SEPTEMBER 10, 2017—Making just her fourth career start, Tempting Annee Gl raced to a half-length win over Tres Of Elegants to post the top qualifying time for the John Deere Will Rogers Juvenile Challenge on Sunday.

Ridden by jockey Mario Delgado, Tempting Annee Gl raced over the 350-yard course in :17.670 seconds, a 92-speed index, to set the top mark.

Trainer R.L. Rick Robinson saddled the daughter of champion sire Tempting Dash to her second consecutive win for owner Gaza Laurel Partnership LLC. Francisco Javier Garza bred the bay filly in Texas from the Devon Lane (TB) mare Grande Annee.

Finishing off the board in her first two starts at Remington Park last spring, Tempting Annee Gl broke her maiden in her last start, posting a three-quarter length win at Fair Meadow July 1st. She has banked $10,000 this season.

Runner-up Tres Of Elegants held on for the second fastest time of :17.757 seconds. The daughter of leading sire Tres Seis was a finalist to the $525,050 Oklahoma Futurity(G3) at Remington Park in April.

Eddie D. Willis conditions the Texas-bred for owner James Sills. Dr. Steve Hurlbert bred the sorrel filly from the Corona Cartel mare Elegant Debut. She has compiled a (4) 1-2-0 record and earned $35,892.

The $32,500-Added John Deere Juvenile final will be contested on Sunday, September 24th at Will Rogers Downs. The winner will also earn a berth in the $130,000 Guaranteed John Deere Juvenile Challenge Championship (G2) to be contested on Bank of America Challenge Championship Night at Prairie Meadows October 14th.
