Eleven Entered in Sun Downs Distaff Challenge Trials
BY MICHAEL CUSORTELLI
KENNEWICK, WA—APRIL 20, 2018—Eleven fillies and mares have been entered in two 400-yard Boehringer Ingelheim Sun Downs Distaff Challenge trials at Sun Downs.
Phoenix Farms’ Gone Fast, a homebred daughter of Meter Me Gone trained by Skylar Greene, will make her 5-year-old season debut in the second heat. Gone Fast ended her 2017 campaign with a fifth-place finish, 5 1/2 lengths behind winner Jess Paint Your Lips, in the 400-yard, $105,000 Boehringer Ingelheim Distaff Challenge Championship (G1) at Prairie Meadows on October 17.
Gone Fast drew post 2 and will be ridden by Cordarelton Benn.
The fastest qualifiers will meet in the May 6, $13,000-added final.
