Kis My Bit Punches Ticket To Albuquerque With Adequan Pocatello Derby Challenge Win

POCATELLO, ID—MAY 19, 2019—Kis My Bit, under jockey Eddie Aceves, dueled multiple stakes winner Rob That Wagon to a nose victory Sunday afternoon in the $40,000 Adequan Pocatello Downs Derby Challenge at Pocatello Downs.

Trainer Ricardo Castillo saddled the son of leading sire One Famous Eagle to his first career stakes win for owner Adrian Aleman. The Colorado-bred gelding completed the 400 yards in :19.836 seconds, into a 10 mph crosswind on a "good" racing surface, to earn a 105 speed index.

Today win also guaranteed Jess Kis My Bit a starting spot in the October 26th Grade 3 $150,000-est. Adequan Derby Challenge Championship on Bank of America Challenge Championship night at Albuquerque Downs.

Bred by Thomas Bradbury and Lisa Beauprez, Kiss My Bit is out of the Streakin La Jolla mare Bits Of Bliss. He has compiled a (9) 3-1-2 record and banked $16,000 today to increase his earnings to $26,369.

Three-time futurity winner Rob That Wagon just missed under jockey Jesus Canales. Trainer Mark Hanson saddled the son of leading sire Pyc Paint Your Wagon for owners Robin Dunn and RTM Stables LLC.

Bred in Texas by Bob and Jerry Gaston, from the First Down Dash mare First Tea Rose, Rob That Wagon was a six-time winners last year and has banked over $85,400.

Jess Dew It put in a solid effort, under jockey Jesus Virgen, to finish 1-¼ lengths back in third. Trainer Ryan Christensen saddled the Utah-homebred for owner/breeder Leeanne Christensen. The Four Six Jess gelding, out of Suzy Belle by One Corona, earned $4,000 for his effort.

Fastest qualifier Silver Jet Dash finished fourth, followed by Shesa Dashair, Dk First Frost, Jess Rumors, Candelaria, He Looks Royal and Jess Echeson.
