Lynnder 16 Wins Back-to-Back ARC Distaff Challenge Races, Best Again In Ruidoso Saturday

RUIDOSO DOWNS, NM—AUGUST 15, 2020—Multiple graded stakes winner Lynnder 16 picked up her second consecutive ARC Distaff Challenge Sakes victory when she defeated Graceisagoodreason by half-a-length in the $31,136 Ruidoso Downs Distaff regional race on Saturday.

The daughter of leading sire Apollitical Jess entered Saturday's Ruidoso Distaff off a win in the ARC Canterbury Park Distaff Challenge Stakes on July 7th. She had already secured a starting spot in the $100,000-est. ARC Distaff Challenge Championship(G1) during the Bank of America Challenge Championships to be held October 24th at The Downs at Albuquerque.

Ridden by jockey Berkley Packer, Lynnder 16 completed the 400 yards in :19.810 seconds, equaling a 92 speed index into a 5 mph crosswind. It was the 10th career win in 21 starts for the 4-year-old filly and the $14,634 Distaff winners' purse boosted her career earnings total to $637,734.

Trainer Jason Olmstead saddled the filly to her third consecutive win this season for owners Tom Maher and Richard Tobin. James and Marilyn Helzer bred the filly in Oklahoma from the Corona Cartel mare Tinys Corona Queen.

Runner-up Graceisagoodreason races for owner-breeder Fulton Quine Sabe Ranches LP. G. Blane Wood conditions the daughter of champion Good Reason SA from the Mr Jess Perry mare Thrill And Grade. Ricky Ramirez was up to collect $6,227 for the effort.

Homer Hill's Jess B Glory collected $3,144 for third. Jimmy D. Brooks had the riding call aboard the Mr Jess Perry 4-year-old for trainer Eddie D. Willis. You And Me Partners bred the sorrel filly in Oklahoma from the Valiant Hero mare Glory Rider. A grade 1 winner, Jess B Glory has earned $140,807.

Sinsational Tacha, Walking On Katella, First N Sassy, Preyn On the Mountain, Easily Lethal and Prisesatocash completed the field.
