John Deere Emerald Downs Juvenile Challenge winner Louisana Bunny s one of 17 3-year-olds entered in Monday’s 400-yard Adequan Grants Pass Derby trials at Grants Pass Downs.

GRANTS PASS, OR—JUNE 18, 2021—Louisana Bunny, a multiple stakes winning daughter of Louisiana Senator raced by the Estate of Lee Markholt, is one of 17 3-year-olds entered in Monday’s 400-yard Adequan Grants Pass Derby trials at Grants Pass Downs.

Louisana Bunny has failed to finish better than fourth in either of her two outs this season. However, the filly earned $48,716 from five races races during her 2-year-old campaign, and she won the 350-yard, $60,000 Grants Pass Firecracker Futurity, and the 350-yard, $30,000 John Deere Emerald Downs Juvenile Challenge.

Louisana Bunny drew post 9 and will be ridden by Luis F. Gonzalez for trainer Nick Lowe in the second of two trials.

The 10 fastest qualifiers will meet in the $30,000-added Adequan Grants Pass Derby final on July 5.
