GRANDE PRAIRIE, ALB—AUGUST 7, 2021—Rowdyvision (20-1), under jockey Alfredo Amador, got up by a neck over post time favorite Cerveza Corona in the $37,999(US) Adequan Evergreen Derby Challenge on Saturday at Evergreen Park.
Rowedyvision completed the 400 yards on a rainy racetrack in :20.535 seconds, equaling an 88 speed index with a 20 mph crosswind. It was the first stakes win for the son of second-crop sire Tf Rowdy Lil Perry.
Misael Moreno conditions the Mexico homebred for owner-breeder Isaak Fehr. A finalist in the Picov Memorial Futurity last year, Rowdyvision has compiled a (6) 2-2-1 record and used the Adequan winner's purse valued at $18,835(US) to boost his earnings to $27,842. The sorrel colt is out of Vision My Corona by Sea Horse Corona.

Runner-up Cerveza Corona earned $7,853(US) for his second-place effort. William Leech trains the California-bred son of leading sire Favorite Cartel for owner Charles G. Stojan. Jose Rocha had the riding call on the Grade 3-placed colt out of Corona Mas Fina by Corona Cartel. Bred by Oscar Andrate, Jr. and Steve Burns, Cerveza Corona has earned $29,011.
Coming off a second-place effort in the July 2nd Alberta Stallion Stakes Derby, Eyesa Timber finished three-quarters back to earn $3,927(US) for third. Bred-owned and trained by Wesley Oulton the son of multiple stakes sire First Timber was ridden by jockey J.B. Botello. Out of the Mr Jess Perry mare Eyesa Perry, Eyesa Timber has earned $71,152 in 11 career starts.
Fight Club, Bright Foo Fighter, Bright Ooh La La and Bdb Mach Man completed the field.
