La Villita Stakes Draws Six Texas-Bred Fillies
BY MICHAEL CUSORTELLI
SELMA TX—JULY 19, 2017—A field of six Texas-bred 3-year-old fillies has been entered in Saturday’s 330-yard, $15,000 La Villita Stakes (R) at Retama Park.
Isabel Huitron’s Fancy Mamacita, a homebred daughter of the Corona Cartel stallion Pappasito, will be shortening in distance off of her wire-to-wire, three-quarter length victory in a 350-yard, $5,400 non-winners-of-two allowance race at Retama on June 30. The filly drew post 3 and will be ridden by Nestor Duran for trainer Eusevio Huitron.
The complete lineup, in post position order including jockey assignments--
- Jp In Heavenly Glory (Luciano Duenez)
- Jmf Dangerous Corona (Francisco A. Mendez)
- Fancy Mamacita (Nestor Duran)
- Zippen Bok (Donald J. Guynes)
- Tres Seis Game (Claudio Aguilar)
- Here Comes Callan (Eddie Sanchez)
