SHAKOPEE, MN—JULY 21, 2017—Larry L. Rice's Lady Eagle 123, a sorrel daughter of One Famous Eagle who was stakes-placed during the Remington Park spring meet, is one of 41 juveniles entered in Sunday's 350-yard North Central Quarter Horse Association Futurity (R) trials at Canterbury Park.

The NCQHRA Futurity is restricted to 2-year-olds owned by residents of Iowa, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, Utah, Wisconsin, Wyoming, and Canadian provinces. The 10 fastest qualifiers will meet in the $20,000-added final on August 6.

Lady Eagle 123 is trained by Rudy Ramirez, and the filly is coming off of a third-place finish, 1 1/2 lengths behind winner Its My Ivory, in the 350-yard, $100,000 Heritage Place Juvenile Invitational Stakes on June 3. Lady Eagle 123 drew post 5 and will be ridden by Oscar Delgado in the last of five trials.

Trainer Jason Olmstead will send out stakes winner Eagle Deluxe in the second heat. A Louisiana-bred son of One Famous Eagle owned by Tom Maher, Bill Maher, and Movin On, the sorrel colt scored a half-length victory in the 350-yard, $18,000 Northlands Juvenile Invitational Stakes at Canterbury on July 2.

Eagle Deluxe drew the rail post and will be ridden by Brayan Velazquez.
