Eysa Jess Jumpn Heads Grade 3 Dash For Cash Derby Friday at Lone Star Park
Five-time stakes winner Eysa Jess Jumpn will head 62 sophomores entered in Friday’s 440-yard Dash For Cash Derby (G3) trials at Lone Star Park.

GRAND PRAIRIE, TX—SEPTEMBER 18, 2019—Sixty-two sophomores, headed by multiple graded winner Eysa Jess Jumpn (3-5), have been entered in Friday’s 440-yard Dash For Cash Derby (G3) trials at Lone Star Park.

Probably the best 3-year-old filly in the nation, Eysa Jess Jumpn trained by Fructuoso Huitron for owner Jose Estrada Quarter Horses, brings a six-race win streak into Friday's fourth trial (Race 8).

The daughter of leading sire Heza Fast Dash has compiled a (13) 10-0-1 record and banked more than $671,000. She is a perfect 5-for-5 in 2019 with wins in the Sam Houston Derby(G3), Delta Downs Louisiana Bred Derby(RG3) and Billy Montgomery Stakes.

D & S Racing LLC bred the brown filly in Louisiana from the Mr Jess Perry mare Jess Jumpn. Jockey Pedro Escheverria has the riding call.

Multiple Grade 1 finalist Pilot Points Moon (5-1) will look to bounce off a second-place effort in the All American Derby(G1) trials for trainer Wesley T. Giles in the third trial race Friday night (Race 7). A homebred son of leading sire First Moonflash, racing for owner-breeder Grants Farms, has won two of six career starts and earned $162,105.

Out of the Grade 1 producing Splash Bac mare Ms Pilot Point, Plot Points Moon was a finalist in the 2018 All American Futurity(G1) and the 2019 Ruidoso QH Derby(G1) at Ruidoso Downs. Jockey James Flores will ride pilot Points Moon from Post 3.

Multiple graded winner FM Im A Santana Too will start from post 4 in Race 7 for trainer Josue Ponce and owner J. Fabian Hernandez. The son of champion sire Tempting Dash is a winner of seven of 13 career starts and has earned $317,558.

The sorrel gelding, out of Dashingfordestiney by Mr Jess Perry, enters the race from an off-the-board performance in the Firecracker Derby(G3) at Delta Downs in his last start July 3. Ridden by Jesse Levario, he will be looking to recapture his form from last season that includes a win in the Sam Houston Futurity(G2).

Ruse Ranch LLC's Psychopath brings a four-race win streak in the second trial (Race 2). Also trained by Ponce, the California-bred son of leading sire Favorite Cartel won the Retama Park Derby in his last start, July 27. Undefeated in four starts this year he has banked $68.720. Levario will be aboard the sorrel gelding out of Streaking Power by I Be Streaking.

The second trial (Race 6) will also feature Dale Rogers homebred Im For Real, who enters off a win in the Audubon Stakes on August 16th at Fair Grounds Race Course in New Orleans. Fructusco Huitron will saddle the graded stakes winning daughter of Whathaveigottado from the Dash Plays On mare Imnotplaying. Ridden by jockey Pedro Espinosa, Im For Real was also second in the Delta Downs Louisiana Bred Derby(RG3) in July and won the Louisiana LQHBA Lassie Futurity(RG2) last season.

Paint Me A Sinner, winner of last year's Dash For Cash Futurity(G2), enters the fifth trial (Race 9) off a win in the Retama Park Derby Challenge on August 17. Trainer Rolando Almanza conditions the daughter of Pyc Paint Your Wagon for owner Clauda Avila.

Bred by Bob and Jerry Gaston, from the First Down Dash mare Shades Of Sin Tacha, Paint Me A Sinner has won four of nine career starts and earned $214.895. Champion jockey Ricky Ramirez has the riding call.

The 10 fastest qualifiers will meet in the $200,000-est. Dash For Cash Derby final on October 5.
