Remington Park Cards 21 Training Races For Wednesday and Thursday

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK—FEBRUARY 11, 2020—Remington Park will kick off its initial training races this week in preparation for the 2020 American Quarter Horse, Paint and Appaloosa Season.

A total of 21 training races will be contested Feb. 12 and 13, with 10 races on Wednesday and 11 on Thursday. All Remington Park training races are at 250 yards. First post is 11 am. (CDT) on both days.

Pair of $65,000 Summer Sale Graduates Head Wednesday

Wednesday's training race highlights feature a pair of $65,000 "summer sale" graduates.

Trainer Clinton Crawford will saddle Because Im A Hero, a $65,000 Heritage Place Yearling Sale graduate in Race 2 for owner Larry Marcum. The son of champion sire Valiant Hero is a brother to Remington Park Oklahoma-Bred Futurity(RG2) runner-up Jess Let It B and All American Juvenile runner-up Jess B Heroic.

Sold under the name of B Cause, the Oklahoma-bred colt is out of the stakes winning Mr Jess Perry mare Jess B Mighty. This is the family of stakes winner's Mighty B Valiant, Mighty Invictus, Glory Rider and Mighty Obscession.

In Race 10 Run Me First, a $65,000 Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale graduate, will start from post 2 for owner Reliance Ranches LLC and trainer Mike Robbins. The daughter of First Down Dash is a sister to champion/champion sire Tempting Dash and multipole grade 1 winner A Tempting Dash. The first dam is former Broodmare of the Year A Tempting Chick by Chicks Beduino.

More Summer Sale Graduates Dominate Thursday Training Races

Summer Sale graduates continue to dominate schooling race entries at Remington Park on Thursday with Lethal Destiny, a $65,000 Heritage Place Yearling Sale graduate, making her debut in Race 2 for owners Matt Dunn and Mike Castanon.

Trainer Blane Wood will saddle the daughter of champion sire Tres Seis from the Chicks Beduino mare Miss Lethal. The bay filly, a half-sister to Champion Volcom Bay and RG1 winner Lethal Delight, dam of All American Futurity(G1) winner Jm Miracle, will start from post 7.

Trainer Mike Robbins will send out Tds Flash, a Tempting Dash colt out of multiple stakes winner Crystal Sola by Walk Thru Fire, in Race 5. Reliance Ranches LLC owns the sorrel gelding. The second dam is the Grade 1 Corona Cartel mare Corona Crystal, dam of champion filly Walk Thru Crystal.

Clint Crawford will saddle First Prize Live, a $60,000 Ruidoso Select Yearling graduate, in Race 7 for owner Cavanaugh Quarter Horses. A son of champion sire The Louisiana Cartel, First Prize Live is a half-brother to seven black type including Heritage Place Derby(G3) winner Pyc Fun N Fancy and Remington Park Oklahoma-Bred Futurity winner Im A Fancy Pyc.

First Prize Live is out of the Mr Jess Perry mare First Prize Fancy, a sister to Remington Park Futurity(G1) winner First Prize Leese and Heritage Place Futurity(G1) winner First Carolina.

In Race 10, Crawford will start Mach Won, a $60,000 Heritage Place Winter Mixed Sale graduate, for Cavanaugh Quarter Horses. The son of champion Valiant Hero is out of the Pyc Paint Your Wagon mare Fast N Fancy, a stakes winning sister to the aforementioned Heritage Place Derby(G3) winner Pyc Fun N Fancy and Remington Park Oklahoma-Bred Futurity winner Im A Fancy Pyc.

The 50-date live racing season will at Remington Park will get underway on March 6 at 6pm. The Opening Weekend also features trial racing for the historic Oklahoma Futurity on Saturday, March 7 at 4pm, and Sunday afternoon racing at 1:30pm on March 8.
