OKLAHOMA CITY, OK—APRIL 2, 2020—A total of 191 Oklahoma-bred juveniles are entered in 20 330-yard Remington Park Futurity (RG1) trials at Remington Park.

Ten trials will be contested on Friday and will be followed by 10 more on Saturday. First post time each night is set for 6 p.m. (CDT). The 2-year-olds with the five fastest qualifying times each day will meet in the April 18, $825,000-est. Remington Park Futurity final.

Eye Work For You, a recent maiden-special-weight race winner over the track, is one of 96 entered in Friday’s trials. Trained by Marcos Carrizales for owner Jose E. Guzman, the brown son of Coronas Leaving You made his debut with a three-quarter length victory in a 250-yard dash on March 13. The gelding covered the distance in :13.106 on a sloppy and sealed track.

Eye Work For You drew post 7 and will be ridden by James Flores in the fourth trial.

Saturday’s trials drew 95 entries, headed by Kingdom Cartel. Trained by Mike Robbins for owner Reliance Ranches LLC, Kingdom Cartel was a prompt 2-1 favorite in a March 7 Oklahoma Futurity (G2) trial, as the homebred Coronado Cartel gelding covered 300 yards in :15.911 while making his career debut.

Kingdom Cartel drew post 3 and will be ridden by Benito Baca in the ninth heat.

Kingdom Cartel’s opponents in Saturday’s ninth trial include Shifting Ground. Trained by Blane Wood for owner Newman Cattle Co., Shifting Ground was a $40,000 purchase at last year’s Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale. The chestnut son of Maknmoves made his debut with a clear 1 3/4-length victory in a 250-yard maiden-special-weight race on March 13.

Shifting Ground drew post 5 and will be ridden by Ricky Ramirez.
