SAN ANTONIO, TX—JULY 22, 2014—The 18th annual TQHA Yearling Sale festivities will get underway Thursday night with a free pre-sale Bar-B-Que for consignors and buyers.

The 18th annual sale, set Friday and Saturday (July 24-25), will feature 300 Texas-Bred yearlings and will again be held in the Exposition Hall at the Freeman Arena in San Antonio, Texas.

Sale action begins promptly each day at 10:30 a.m. On Friday (Jul 24) Hips 1 thru 150 will be offered and on Saturday (Jul 25) Hips 151 thru 300 will be sold.

The free consignor and buyers Bar-B-Que, sponsored by the AQHA Bank of America Racing Challenge and Cooper's BBQ, will kickoff the 2015 sale festivities on Thursday (Jul 23) at 5:00 pm.

Friday evening sale goers are urged to attend the races at near by Retama Park for the Texas Summer Showdown and again on Saturday night for the $413,776 TQHA Sale Futurity(RG2) and the $136,400 Retama Park Derby. First post is set for 6:45 p.m. each night.

All yearlings who pass through the TQHA Yearling Sale ring on Friday and Saturday are eligible for nomination to the 2016 TQHA Sale Futurity(RG2).
