SOUTH JORDAN, UT—JUNE 17, 2017 —It was a blanket finish in the $16,870 SVLAC Futurity at Laurel Brown Racetrack, but second-fastest qualifier Krash Your Party and jockey Jesus Valenzuela emerged in front by a head over fastest qualifier Masons Moon. Krash Your Party covered the 330-yard distance in 17.008 to earn a 97 speed index.

Krash Your Party broke his maiden in the stakes win after finishing third and second in his first two lifetime starts. The Texas-bred gelding is trained by Ricardo Castillo and is owned by BNB Racing, Inc. Bred by Triple K Farms, he is by Krash Cartel, out of the Brimmerton mare Hasta La Veesta.

Masons Moon had defeated Krash the Party by a neck in their trial, the first of three held on May 27. The 2-year-old brown filly is trained by Luis H. Gonzales and is owned by Kenia Pinela Marioni. Alan Miramontes had the call.

Bred in New Mexico by Mike Abraham, Masons Moon is a daughter of First Moonflash, out of Ms Perry Mason by Mr Jess Perry.

Piper Jane and jockey Jordan Hadley dueled to gain third place, a nose behind Masons Moon and a nose ahead of fourth-place finisher Love the Boss. Trained by Jessica Hadley, Piper Jane is a homebred for Mike Isom. The Utah-bred filly is by Samuel S, out of the Dash to Chivato mare Chivatos Secret, winner of the Bitteroot Derby in 2006 and runner up in the 2005 Bitteroot Futurity (G2).

Completing the field were Love the Boss, A Dangerous Woman, High Rate Dash, Pillage, My Fortune Dash and Cr Sweet Dynasty. Hitt the Spot was scratched.
