Fighters Gone Wild Moved Up in Arapahoe's American Flyer Stakes
Fighters Gone Wild was moved to first in Saturday's $15,250 American Flyer Stakes at Arapahoe Park after the top two finishers were disqualified for interference.

RUIDOSO DOWNS, NM—JULY 22, 2017—Winning for a $10,000 tag on June 18, Fighters Gone Wild went from "Claim to Fame" on Saturday when the top two finishers in the $15,250 American Flyer Stakes at Arapahoe Park were disqualified for interference and he was moved to first to garner his first career stakes win. Im Beau Brown was placed second and Burst Of Dash third.

Unofficial winner Silver Citizen drifted out badly under jockey Fernando Camacho and was placed sixth, while the second-place finisher Iba Jp, drifted in under jockey Edwin Pena and was moved down to fourth.

Saddled by Jose Barron, Fighters Gone Wild earned $9,150 after getting moved into first-place. The 4-year-old son of Fighter On Fire covered the 400 yards in :19.974 seconds while competing in tight quarters under jockey Pedro Gonzalez.

Racing for owner Hugo Barron, the Colorado-bred is out of the Mr Sailing Easy mare Wanna Know Now. Bred by Tom Lichlyter, Fighters Gone Wild has compiled a (19) 5-4-1 record and used the $9,150 American Flyer payday to increase his earnings total to $42,852.

Already a graded stakes-winner Im Beau Brown picked up $3,050 after moving up to second-place. Julio Corral trains the 7-yaer-old Pyc Paint Your Wagon gelding for owner Desiderio Nava. Larry Kist bred Ima Beau Brown in Missouri from the This Snow Is Royal mare Special Smoothie. Adran Morales rode the $146,665 earner.

Burst Of Dash, a Dashin Bye gelding from the Mr Eye Opener mare Iza Flyin Dye, earned $1,525 for third. Owned-and-trained by David Palafox, the gray gelding was ridden by Manuel Meza. Richard and Genevieve Herrman is the breeder.

Completing the official order of finish were Iba Jp, Shiner Blond, Silver Citizen, Swingit Lika Man, My Big Chief, Jz Zoomin Wootan, and Stel Surprise.
