EVANSTON, WY—JULY 22, 2017—A strong effort, under jockey Uriel Dominquez, helped Cypress Sally defeat multiple stakes winner Betrothen by a neck Saturday afternoon in the Raysha's Run - Racing For A Cure Stakes (not black type) Saturday afternoon at Wyoming Downs.

The $11,000 races for 3-year-olds and up was sponsored by Renegade Sports, Friends and Wyoming Downs.

Racing for owner A and C Racing and Roping, Cypress Sally completed the 350 yards in a quick :17.353 clocking to earn a 99-speed index. It was the fourth career win for the Winners Version filly out of Luscious Legs by Dashin Is Easy.

Chancey Spencer conditions the Chad Richard Utah-bred who has compiled a (6) 4-0-0 record. The $5,170 winners' purse boosted her career mark to $12,405.

Betrothen dueled throughout to get second for owner RTM Stables LLC. Mark Hanson trains the Walk Thru Fire 6-year-old out of Flo Jo Lady by Rare Bar. Danny Marshall was aboard to pick up $1,980. Ricky and Melinda Overly is the breeder.

Jeffrey Wilson and Ray Norgaard's One Heavenly Eagle finished 1-¼ lengths back to earn $1,210 for third. Josh Taylor saddled the One Famous Eagle filly out of Heavenly Stripper by Check Him Out. Norgaard and P. Wilson is the breeder and Daniel Carillo was riding.

Barley A Secret, Kissin Kate Barlow, Alliwannabeisgone, Nowshezalady, Kate On The Move, Johnie On The Dash and A Hot Secret completed the field.
