OGDEN, UT—MAY 19, 2018—Coming off a track record setting performance in her career debut, fastest qualifier Jess Send It returned to Weber Downs this afternoon (Saturday) with another outstanding performance to win the $35,537 Hadley-Giles Futurity.
Under jockey Jesus Valenzuela, Jess Send It took the lead shortly after the break and extended to 1-½ lengths while completing the 300 yards in :15.499 seconds, a 102 speed index.
On May 5th the daughter of leading living sire a Corona Cartel debuted with a three-length winning effort to set a new track record of :15.391 seconds for 300 yards at Weber Downs and post the fastest time for the futurity.
Trainer Riley Moosman saddled the Hadley-Giles Futurity winner for owner Keith Nielson. Turner Farms bred the bay filly in Utah from the Feature Mr Jess mare Jess Send Me. Jess Send It picked up $35,537 for her first stakes win.
Dixie Downs Futurity winner Dust A Tac's three-race win streak was snapped but the son of multiple stakes sire Tac It Like A Man finished a game second under jockey Joseph Belloc, Jr.
Luis Gonzalez saddled the Hadley-Giles runner-up for owner Albelardo Gonzalez. Bred in Texas by County Line Runners, from the Dean Miracle mare Deans Dusty Bunny, Dust A Tac earned $15,451 to double his bankroll to more than $30,000.
In just her second career start Mommas Dynasty earned her black type after she finished a neck off Dust A Tac to get third. Jesus Canales had the riding call for trainer Jordan Hadley.
Mommas Dynasty is a homebred daughter of world champion sire FDD Dynasty racing for owner/breeders Edward McNelis and Von Zae McNelis. Placed twice in her two starts, the filly out of Bye Sweet Girl by Dashin Bye and has earned $7,936.
Mister FDD, Louisiana Ez, Prearranged Wedding, Jr Dynasty Czech, Pistol The Kid, Kr Hi Five and Allyson Wonderland completed the field.
