EVANSTON, WY —JULY 21, 2018 —Turning the tables on the two fastest qualifiers who finished ahead of her in their trial, One Dashing Dream returned in the $33,150 Utah Bred Futurity final on Saturday afternoon to win by a half-length. One Dashing Dream, with Oscar Cervantes aboard, covered 350 yards in :17.673 and earned a 92 speed index.

In the final, Showmethedoe returned to run second again, while Pistol the Kid was fourth.

One Dashing Dream is trained by Diana Garfias for owner Aron Saenz. She was bred by the Marla K Robinson Family Trust, by One Dashing Eagle and out of the Corona Cartel mare Coronas Dreamgirl.

This is her first stakes win, and her second win in five career starts, She broke her maiden in a her debut, a futurity trial at Weber Downs in May.

Second for second time was Showmethedoe and jockey Santiago Jimenez. Showmethedoe broke on top but could not avoid the outside advances of One Dashing Dream.

Trained by Alvaro Torres, Showmethedoe is a homebred for Steve Berry. The colt is by No Secrets Here and is out of the Hennessy mare Bundle Doe.

Showmethedoe is still a maiden in five career starts, but has qualified for two futurities and has earned over $10,000 in his career to date.

In third place was fourth fastest qualifier Jess Dew It. Jose Guzman was aboard for trainer Ryan Christensen. Owner Leeann Christensen also bred the gelding, by Four Six Jess, out of Suzy Belle, by One Corona.

Jess Dew It profited from a clean trip along the rail in the final to finish a half-length behind Showmethedoe and just a head in front of Pistol the Kid.

Jess Dew It, still a maiden, just lost his trial at the wire to Sheza Vital Secret.

Completing the field were Pistol The Kid, Drop a Corona, Sir Byron, Locomotion Girl, Dusty Mtn Dynasty and Sheza Vital Secret. Jump to Class was scratched.
