Jacks Leading Myeta Uses Late Rush to Win G.C.F.A. Dutchman Stakes on Saturday

FREDERICKSBURG, TX—JULY 21, 2018—With a late rush under jockey Eliazar Vera, Jacks Leading Myeta got up at the wire by a nose over Brillianz in the $12,500 G.C.F.A. Dutchman Stakes (not black type) Saturday afternoon at the Gillespie County Fair Ground.

Saddled by trainer Manuel Roman, Jacks Leading Myeta completed the 350 yards in :17.945 seconds into a 10 mph headwind to equal a 90 speed index. It was the second win in eight starts for the 4-year-old daughter of the Tres Seis stallion Total Resolve. The $7,380 Dutchman winners' purse boosted Jacks Leading Myeta's earnings to $19,973.

A Texas homebred racing for owner-breeder Jesus Garcia, Jcaks Leading Myeta broke her maiden two races back at Remington Park on April 14. She is out of the Lead The Field mare Leading Princess.

Trainer Adrian Huitron conditions runner-up Brillianz for owner Jose Espinoza. Bobby D. Cox bred the Mr Jess Perry filly in Texas from the First Down Dash mare Zenergy. She earned $2,460 for the effort. Luis Vivanco was riding.

A Dirty Temptation finished half-a-length back to pick up $1,230 for third. Alonzo Neri owns-and-trains the daughter of champion sire Tempting Dash. Pedro Espinosa had the riding call aboard the filly out of A Dirty Flick by Feature Mr Jess. The two-time winner, bred in Texas by Rampy Ranch, has earned $9,226.

The Real Deal, Shiny Boy A, Truly Heroic, Shez Just Courageous, Driven By Results and Salute The Sarge completed the field.
