SUNLAND PARK, NM—DECEMBER 30, 2018—First N Forever (6-1), under jockey Felipe Garcia-Luna, drifted out and dueled to a lead over Mamacita Cartel by a neck in the $85,000 Lou Wooten and Sydney Valentini Handicap (RG2) Sunday afternoon at Sunland Park. Regard The Rose finished a nose back in the blanket finish to take third.

Saddled by trainer Justin Joiner, First N Forever completed the 400 yards in :19.772 seconds into a 7 mph tailwind. The $51,000 winners' purse boosted the First Moonflash filly's earnings mark to $148,115.

Robert Elliot and Billy Smith own the 3-year-old out of Eye Am Forever Yours by Mr Eye Opener. She has compiled a (11) 2-3-3 record. Mike Abraham is the breeder.

Coming off a win in the New Mexico Fillies and Mares Championship on December 2nd, Mamacita Cartel, under jockey Edgar Martinez, could not get by the winner. Cynthia Gonzalez conditions the Big Daddy Cartel filly for owner/breeder David Bloomer. Out of the Woodbridge mare Posies Woodette, Mamacita Cartel picked up $ 17,000 to push her mark to $264,897.

Multiple stakes winner Regard The Rose earned $8,500 for third. Alfredo Triana saddled the Chicks Regard filly for owner Mason King. Alfredo Triana, Jr. had the riding call aboard the 3=year-old out of Not Sable Shes Rose by Coronas Black diamond. Coronas Black Diamond Partnership bred the $153,663 earner.

Moon River, Hollywoodcrown, Everbuddys Talkin, Leftlane, Hardtookiss and Sixie Won completed the field.
