SELMA, TX—FEBRUARY 15, 2019—The Legend Stone, a colt by leading sire Pyc Paint Your Wagon, posted the fastest training race time on Friday from 79 2-year-olds who participated in 12 training races at Retma Park.

Jockey Jorge Linares had the riding assignment aboard the Oklahoma-bred for owner Rancho La Cobra and trainer Adrian Triana. The brown colt completed the 250 yards in :13.53 seconds in Race 11 to secure the top clocking. Monaco, a $20,000 TQHA Yearling Sale graduate and half-brother to 2019 AQHA Racing World Champion Bodacious Eagle won Race 8, under jockey J. Martinez to get the second fastest 250 yard time of :13.55 seconds.

Trainer Robert Madrigal saddled the Dominyun colt from the Corona Cartel mare Bodacious Dream, for owners Paul Lozolla and Catarino Terrazas. This is the family of Champions Dashing Phoebe, Heartswideopen, American Runaway, Hes Relentless and Special Phoebe.

Doc Hockaday, a colt by first crop sire Kiss My Hocks finished second to Monaco getting the 4th fastest time of :13.78 seconds. Tyler Graham and Jose Hernandez are the owners with J.R. Ramirez Jr. riding and Robert Meche conditioning.

Jockey S. Fuentes rode Em Jess Ronas Cash to victory in Race 10 while recording the third fastest time of :13.76 seconds. Eleazar Martinez owns the Jess Lips colt out of Ill Paint The Town by Pyc Paint Your Wagon. Y. Fierro is the conditioner.

Big Daddy Cartel led all sires with three winners on the card. Other sires with winners were first-crop sires Apollitical Blood, Separate Interest and Paint Me Perry and Down N Dash, Jumpn Chick, Pyc Paint Your Wagon, Sir Runaway Dash and Tres Seis.
