Jess Miracle Sets Top Mark BHS Quarter Horse Futurity Trials

MILES CITY, MT—MAY 12, 2019—Jess Miracle, under jockey Shance Bird Rattler, defeated Jessaruninmystockins by three-quarters in the fifth of six trials on Sunday, setting the top qualifying time to the BHS Quarter Futurity at Miles City Downs.

The eight fastest qualifiers will return Sunday, May 19th to vie for the winner's share of the $7,500 purse going 250 yards.

Jess Miracle was the first of six qualifiers saddled by trainer Jesse Villegas. The daughter of Adashofjess completed the 250 yards in :13.840 seconds to set the fastest qualifying mark. Benjamin Villegas owns the bay filly and Benjamin Villegas, Jr. bred Jess Miracle in Wyoming from the Dean Miracle mare Miracle Tonight.

Runner-up Jessaruninmystockins held on to the second fastest time of :13.968 seconds for trainer David Greene. Linford Ranch Horses is the owner breeder of the Jess My Moon filly out of Cr Classy Future by Sir Antonio. Shaunda Larsen was up.

Eyesa Special Snoopi and Eyesa Special Juliet tied for the final qualifying spot after each recorded a :14.683 clocking in their respective trials. Both are trained by Villegas and owned by Broken Bones Cattle Company and will shake for the final spot.
