Wisdom 2-Year-Olds Dominate NDQHRA ND-Bred Futurity Trials

FARGO, ND—JULY 19, 2019—A pair of 2-year-old North Dakota homebreds, owned by David Wisdom and trained by Robert Don Johnson, dominated two trials on Friday for the NDQHRA North Dakota-Bred Futurity at North Dakota Horse park.

In the opening trial jockey Jake Olesiak rode Sweet Wild Time to a 2-¾ length win to set the top qualifying time of :18.137 seconds, a 91 speed index with a 12 mph tailwind. Wisdom bred the daughter of multiple stakes sire One Sweet Jess from the Royal Shake Em mare Royal Wild Time.

Sweet Wild Time picked up her second career win in four starts this season. The sorrel filly shipped in from Canterbury Park where she had qualified to the $156,000 Mystic Lake Northlands Futurity. She had earned $13,186.

Also shipping in from Canterbury Park, Olesiak piloted Divas First Moon to a 3-¼ length win in the second trial to post the second fastest time of :18.218 seconds. Also owned-and bred by David Wisdom, the Johnson trainee is a daughter of leading sire First Moonflash from the Royal Sake Em mare Shake Em Diva.

It was the first win in three starts for the gray filly who has banked $4,450 from a (3) 1-1-1 record.

The eight-fastest qualifiers from today's trials will return to North Dakota Horse Park on Sunday, July 28th to vie for the winner's share of a $16,000-est. purse going 350 yards.
