Shake Em Lelo Posts Fastest Time In G.C.F.A. 79 & Under Speed Index Futurity Trials

FREDRICKSBURG, TX—JULY 21, 2019—Shake Em Lelo broke his maiden in his first career start on Sunday when he posted the fastest qualifying time for the $37,000 G.C.F.A. 79 & Under Speed Index Futurity (not black type) at the Gillespie County Fairground.

The 10 fastest qualifiers will return Sunday, August 11th to the Fredericksburg, Texas racetrack to vie for the $12,950 winner's purse going 330 yards.

Saddled by trainer Joel Cantu, Shake Em Lelo races for owner/breeder Jose Edeliou Cantu, Jr. The son of Shake Em Wizar is out of the Eyesa Special mare Special Dashing Girl. He recorded a :17.0425 clocking to record the top qualifying time.

Rebas Lil Eagle got his first career win in three starts this season in the final trial to record the second fastest clocking of :17.3060. Jockey Noe Villatoro had the riding call for trainer Jose Lopez.

Rebas Lil Eagle is a Louisiana homebred racing for owner-breeder Aaron Harvey. The Dash To Lil Corona colt is out of One Famous Girl by One Famous Eagle. Lopez saddled four of the 10 qualifiers including 3rd fastest Shes My Dashing Girl, 5th fastest Incredible Hock and 6th fastest Texas Tornado Jet.
