Ud Goldenboy Prevails in Don Pedro Dash at Wyoming Downs

EVANSTON, WY—AUGUST 10, 2019—Ud Goldenboy was first out of the gate and first to the wire in the $10,500 Don Pedro Dash (not black type) at Wyoming Downs on Saturday afternoon.

Uriel Dominguez and Ud Goldenboy ($15.40) posted a final time of 6.866 in the 100-yard race.

Ud Goldenboy is trained by Uriel Dominguez, Sr. Lucero Uriel Dominguez owned and bred the -year-old gelding in Utah, by Jr Dynasty Mountain and out of Bvlgari B, by Tac it Like A Man.

Now a multiple stakes winner, Ud Goldenboy has seven career wins in 16 starts and lifetime earnings of $32,912. He won the Horse Palace Futurity at Energy Downs in 2017 and the Laurel Brown Derby in 2018. He was third in the 2018 edition of this race.

Mr Bundy and jockey Jesus Valenzuela finished in second place, three-quarters of a length behind Ud Goldenboy.

Mr Bundy is multiple stakes placed, including another runner-up finish in the Treyes Calf Ranch Stakes aT Jerome in June. He has won 12 of his 48 lifetime starts and has earned over $30,000.

The 8-year-old stallion is by Spittin Fire, out of Fl Gator Style, by Dazzle Berry. He was bred in Utah by Roy Bundy; Kevin Williams is the owner and trainer.

Jerrys Scooter, the longest price in the field, surged to the wire in third place with Cordarelton Benn aboard. The 5-year-old is trained by David Greene for owner Marlene Young. Young and Gerland Heinrich bred the son of Dashair in Wyoming, out of Wabbit on a High, by On a High.

Jerrys Scooter debuted at Miles City in 2016, winning both the trial and the final for the Bucking Horse Sale Futurity that year. He has since competed in multiple stakes in Wyoming and was fourth in this race last year.

Completing the field were Be Our Honor, Royallittlewagon, Innosent Cat, Christmas Chrome, Scooter 777, Cruzin Muncie and Tempting Futuro.
