MALAD, ID—AUGUST 11, 2019—Oneida County Fair hosted a pair of stakes on Sunday's card that included the $18,200 Oneida County Futurity and the $18,200 Oneida County Mixed Breed Derby .

Oneida County Futurity

Fastest qualifier Maximo II got his third consecutive win on Sunday when he defeated Orange Vodka Shooter by a neck in the $18,200 Oneida County Futurity. Gg Friendship was 1-¾ lengths back to take third.

Ridden by jockey Jose Torres, Maximo II completed the 300 yards in :15.306 seconds, equaling a 95 speed index into a 5 mph crosswind. The $8,190 winner's purse swelled his bankroll to $15,662.

Uriel Arreola owns-and-trains the son of thoroughbred sire Concorde's Appeal. Bred in Idaho by Vicente Treyes Valencia, from the Bono Jazz mare Race To Riches, Maximo II has won four of five starts. His only loss was a troubled effort in the Bitterroot Futurity July 4.

Orange Vodka Shooter races for owners Cinda and Rod Thomas. The Idaho homebred daughter of multiple stakes sire Triple Vodka earned $3,640 for finishing second. Dabid Romero trains the bay filly out of Lil Orange Scooter by Heza Motor Scooter. Raphael Romero had the riding call.

Third-place finisher Gg Friendship, a daughter of second-crop sire Turbulent Times, is owned by Lonna Gerstner and trained by Kyle Dahlke. Nick Newbold rode the bay filly out of Stolen Ivory by Ivory James. Bred by Scott and Bob Giltner, Gg Friendship earned $1,820.

Shacks Desire, Brilliant Cut Cartel, Tell Him Twice Jr, Curls Are Kool and Meghans Feature Sign completed the field.

Oneida County Mixed Breed Derby

Multiple stakes winner Rob That Wagon scored his fourth lifetime stakes win on Sunday when he defeated Foose Secret by a head in the $18,200 Oneida County Mixed Breed Derby. Look Secret finished half-a-length back in third.

Ridden by jockey Cody Wainscott, posttime favorite Rob That Wagon completed the 300 yard in :15.395 seconds, equaling a 92 speed index into a 5 mph crosswind. Trainer Mark Hanson saddled the son of leading sire Pyc Paint Your Wagon to his eighth career win and the $8,190 winners paycheck boosted his earnings mark to $97,523.

Rob That Wagon races for Robin D. Dunn and RTM Stables LLC. Bred in Texas by Bob and Jerry Gaston, from the First Down Dash mare First Tea Rose, the brown gelding has compiled a (13) 8-4-0 record. He won the Bitterroot Futurity, Sandy Downs Juvenile Challenge and Oneida County Fair Futurity at 2, and was second in the AQHA Pocatello Derby Challenge and Bitterroot Derby this season.

Also a multiple stakes winner, runner-up Foose Secret races for owner Jorge Murillo and is conditioned by trainer Farrol Cunningham. Raphael Romero rides the California-bred son of champion sire Foose from the No Secrets Here mare Beauty Secrets. Bred by Roque Gonzalez, Foose Secret earned $3,640 to bring his earnings total to $18,453.

Adrian Aleman's Look Secret earned $1,820 for finishing third. Ricardo Castillo trains the daughter of We Have A Secret and Jesus Virgen had the riding call. Carolyn and Jose Adrian Aleman bred the sorrel filly in Utah from the Righteous Brother mare Righteous Look.

Pickle Dilly, Sweetheart Sammie, Kis My Bit, Rf Shades Gonna Dash and Hes Never Telling completed the field.
