OKLAHOMA CITY, OK—MARCH 19, 2020— Owned by Valeriano Racing Stables of Odessa, Texas and trained by Monty Arrossa, Inaugurator was ridden by James Flores. The 3-year-old gelding added his Thursday triumph to a score at Los Alamitos in southern California in January when he broke his maiden status.

Inaugurator left the starting gate sharply in the 330-yard event, and was in command over his nine foes at the midway point, then pulled away to win by one length in :16.767 over a track labeled good.

A Texas-bred son of Apollitical Jess from the Dash Ta Fame mare Famous Phoebe, Inaugurator earned a 91 speed index for his second career win.

The second choice in the wagering at 5-1 odds, Inaugurator paid $13 to win, $5 to place and $3.60 to show. Im Fearless, the beaten favorite at even-money in the wagering, returned $2.80 to place and $2.40 to show. Relentless Jess finished a nose behind the runner-up to pay $3.20 to show.

The victory was worth $11,980 to Inaugurator, boosting his total earnings to $23,320 with two wins from nine lifetime attempts with three seconds and three third-place finishes.

Remington Park racing continues, with no public spectators, Friday through Sunday, March 20-22. The first race nightly is at 6pm with Sunday racing at 1:30pm. All times are Central.

Saturday racing features the Grade 2, $383,725 Oklahoma Futurity on a program with seven stake events overall.
