SS Classyjess Extends Win Streak to Four With $122,000 Yellow Rose Of Texas Stakes

GRAND PRAIRIE, TX—OCTOBER 17, 2020—SS Classyjess extended her win streak to four Saturday after posting a three-quarter length win over Jess Eleven Or Seven in the $122,000 Yellow Rose Of Texas Stakes at Lone Star Park.

SS Classyjess recovered from a bump at the break to put in a strong effort under jockey Juan Garcia while completing the 400 yards in :19.875 seconds, equaling a 92 speed index into a 14 mph headwind. The $70,760 winner's purse boosted the daughter of multiple stakes sire Rock Solid Jess' earnings mark to $251,773.

Trainer Jose Carrizales saddled the 4-year-old to her fourth consecutive stakes win for owner Edgar Rosales. Ss Classyjess' win streak started at Retama Park July 24th with a win in the Miss Retama Stakes. She then scored the Live Oak Stakes before traveling to Lone Star Park to take the $100,000 Nevill Stakes on opening weekend.

Bred in Texas by Ronnie Steward and Double S Farm, from the Royal Shake Em mare High Class Road, SS Classyjess has compiled a (27) 11-7-4 record. She has earned more than $203,000 this season.

Runner-up Jess Eleven Or Seven put in a solid-effort under jockey Ricardo Garza-Cruz to earn $19,520 for second. Rolando Almanza trains the daughter of multiple stakes sire Jess Louisiana Blue for owner-breeders Esmeralda and Chad Peck. Out of the Fredricksburg mare Eleven To Seven, the sorrel 4-year-old has earned $38,546.

Don Griffin and Simmons Racing's Kiss M Lassie finished a head back to pick-up $10,980 for third. Toby Keeton trains the 3-year-old daughter of champion and leading second-crop sire Kiss My Hocks from the Jody O Toole mare Lassie O Toole. Luis Vivanco had the riding call on the $58,350 earner bred in Texas by Tyler Graham and James Murry, Jr.

Ima Tempting Girl, Lj Moonrise, I Got Daddys Eyes, Mystical Jess, Jlc First Prize Elva, Jess Worthy and Apollitical Mogul completed the field.
