OPELOUSAS, LA—OCTOBER 22, 2020—Multiple graded stakes winner Mpshinning rolled to his fourth stakes victory of the year Thursday night when he defeated Tuckers Prize by 1-˝ lengths in the $40,000 Mid City Stakes at Evangeline Downs.

Ridden by jockey Everardo Rodriguez, Mpshinning completed the classic 440 yard distance in a quick :21.499 seconds, equaling a 107 speed index into a 6 mph headwind.

Trainer Adrian Huitron saddled the son of All American Futurity(G1) winner Mr Piloto to his 10th career win for owner Larry Boudreaux. The $24,000 winner's purse boosted his earnings to $785,505.

Jon and Donna McPherson bred the LQHBA Million Futurity(RG1) winner from the First To Shine mare Shinningperrydash.

Owned-and-trained by Preston Jourdan, runner-up Tuckers Prize earned $8,000 for second. J.R. Ramirez had the riding call aboard the son of multiple stakes sire Fast Prize Jordan from the Game Patriot mare Bb Secrets Game. Bred by Kirby and Phillip Bruchaus, Tuckers Prize has earned $148,645.

Ed Peters' Barjaxs finished a neck back to pick-up $4,400 for third. Champion trainer Kenneth Roberts, Sr. named jockey Donald Watson to ride the 4-year-old son of Jess Louisiana Blue from the First Down Dash mare Elealicious. Bred by Gini Crawford, the graded stakes-placed runner has earned $12,154.

Fabulously Black, Lightemupwithcharm, El Predator, Beyondthecos and Jlj Imma B Famous completed the field.
