Rowdyvision Holds Sway In Canada Cup Classic Stakes at Century Downs Saturday

Rowdyvision Holds Sway In Canada Cup Classic Stakes at Century Downs Saturday

EDMONTON, ALB—OCTOB ER 1, 2022—Rowdyvision, a 4-year-old son of Tf Rowdy Lil Perry, led early then held sway to hold off multiple stakes winner Flight Club by a neck in the $12,032(US) Canada Cup Classic Stakes (not blacktype) Saturday evening at Century Mile Racetrack.

Under jockey Daniel Garcia, the gelding completed the 440 yards in :22.102 seconds, equaling a 98 speed index into a 15mph crosswind.  It was the fifth career win for Rowdyvision who earned $6,285(US) for this effort.

Misael Moreno conditions the Mexico homebred for owner-breeder Isaak Fehr. Out of the Sea Horse Corona mare Vision My Corona, Rowdy Vision was second in the Bank of America Evergreen Park Championship Challenge in his last start August 7. He has banked $76,031.

Winner of the Bank of America Evergreen Park Championship Challenge in his last start, runner-up Flight Club, earned $3,083(US) for this second-place effort. Trainer William Leech named jockey J.B. Botello to ride the 4-year-old son of multiple stakes sire Foose for owner Charles G. Stojan.

A multiple stake winner bred in California by Steve D. Burns, DVM, Flight Club is out of the Separatist mare Separate Flight. He has earned $84,099.

Also a multiple stakes winner Honor The Fast Man was a neck back in the blanket-finish to pick up $1,423(US) for third. Owned-trained by bred by Tom Keway, the son of Honor The Perry has won nine of 33 starts and earned $102,789. Martin Ortiz was aboard the Alberta-bred from the Heza Fast Man mare Buckle High.
