Own Daughter of Easy Jet, Kisses Teaspoon Dies at 25

SEMINOLE, OK—FEBRUARY 13, 2015—Kisses Teaspoon SI 103 a grade 2 placed daughter of Easy Jet was euthanized February 7 at her home, T Bar Ranch near Seminole, Oklahoma. The 25-year-old mare was suffering from lymphoma and was tended by Dr. Chuck Bolan.

"Teaspoon" was a wonderfully gentle, sweet mare and will be missed by everyone here at T Bar Ranch," Taylor said.

Owned by A.C. Taylor, Kisses Teaspoon won 12 of 38 career starts from 2 to 5 while earning $55,217. She was second in the Moore Handicap and Lazy E National QH Jockey 350 Championship at Remington Park and was third in the Oklahoma Futurity(G2) and Boomer Sooner Prep Derby at Blue Ribbon Downs.

Bred by R.C. "Mike" Howell of Choctaw, Oklahoma and campaigned by Howell and the late Ellen Kennedy, Kisses Teaspoon was named the 1993 Oklahoma Hi-Point 3-Year-Old Filly, the1994 Oklahoma Hi-Point Aged Mare of 1994 and an AQHA Racing Superior Race Horse. Rodney Reed and Bobby Knight both trained her.

The own daughter of legendary sire and AQHA Racing World Champion Easy Jet produced 11 foals, seven winners and six ROM from eight to race including Zia Park Championship(G1) winner Little Bit Of Ah Ha SI 104 ($315,699). She was the granddam of Hawthorne Futurity winner Leaving The Sugar SI 99 ($59,648) and Bitterroot Futurity(RG3) winner Dreaming Of Kisses SI 110 ($41,945), etc.

Kisses Teaspoon was a half-sister to Los Alamitos Invitational Championship(G1) winner Heza Ramblin Man SI 111 ($750,907), multiple stakes winner First To Ramble SI 110 ($348,647), Dash For Cash Derby(G1) winner Ima Ramblin Girl SI 104 ($162,515), etc.

The mare was buried at T Bar Ranch.
