Multiple Stakes Winner Second Painted Sign at Bowlan Farms

TECUMSECH, OK—NOVEMBER 4, 2015—Bowlan Farms announced today that The Mixer Ranch's homebred multiple stakes winning son of leading sire Pyc Paint Your Wagon, Second Painted Sign SI 102, will again stand for a fee of $1,000 for 2016.

The royally bred stallion won or placed in seven of 12 career starts and earned $101,604. Named the Oklahoma Hi-Point 3-Year-Old Colt, AQHA Regional 3-Year-Old Colt and OQHRA Oklahoma Owned 3-Year-Old Stallion in 2012, Second Painted Sign won the Oklahoma Horsemen's Association Derby and the Adequan Will Rogers Derby Challenge. He was also a finalist in the Adequan Derby Challenge Championship(G2), Speedhorse Gold & Silver Cup Futurity(G2) and Mr Master Bug Handicap.

His first foals are weanlings of 2015.

Out of the Vital Sign mare Stylish Sign SI 98 ($28,306), Second Painted Sign is a brother to RG1 winner First Painted Sign SI 104 ($284,911) the dam of 2015 Ruidoso Futurity(G1) winner First Valiant Sign SI 99 ($693,680 at 2), 2015 Heritage Place Futurity(G1) runner-up A Tres Of Paint SI 97 ($289,656*), 2015 Hobbs America Derby(G3) winner Apollitical Sign SI 88 ($96,438); and a brother to 2015 Rainbow Futurity(G1) finalist Mr Pyc To You SI 95 ($30,935 at 2).

Second Painted Sign is a half-brother to RG2 finalists Signs Zoomer SI 98 ($30,044), dam of stakes winner and G1-placed Wagon Tales SI 99 ($427,579, 3rd in the All American Futurity-G1), and 2015 Jim Bader Futurity winner The Fiscal Cliff SI 95 ($217,521 at 2). Both are son of Pyc Paint Your Wagon.

The second dam is the First Down Dash mare Down Pillow, a half-sister to Grade 1 Go Man Go Handicap winner Easy Conversation SI 105 ($534,854) and G3-placed Easy Option SI 98 ($37,458), etc. This is the family of stakes winners Pea Jay Jet SI 97 ($253,786), Easy Approach SI 104 ($57,643), etc.
