2016 Beehive Stallion Service Auction Big Success, Some Services Still Available
SANDY, UT—JANUARY 18, 2016—The 2016 Beehive Stallion Service Auction conducted by the UQHA on Saturday grossed $63,875, a major increase over last year.
"We are happy with all the support from the buyers and the stallion owners and farms that continue to support our program in Utah," Jeannie Hullinger UQHA Racing secretary said.
Debbie Strebig of Texas purchased the high-selling services on Saturday. She paid $6,600 for a breeding to AQHA Racing's 2015 Champion 2-Year-Old Kiss My Hocks.
Offspring sired by all stallions who had a service sell in the 2016 auction or a service that sells by April 30 will become eligible for the 2019 Beehive Futurity.
A number of great stallion services are still available on a first-come first-serve basis. Anyone interested in purchasing a breeding should call Hullinger at 435.623.7015 or 801.367.1085.
