WHEELOCK, TX—SEPTEMBER 15, 2016—Enrique Carrion announced today his homebred grade 1-winning millionaire Ec Jet One SI 104 will stand the 2017 season at Granada Farms near Wheelock, Texas. His fee has been set at $5,000.

"We're absolutely delighted to have the opportunity to manage EC Jet One for his breeding duties." said Granada Farms manager Jimmy Eller. "He was a spectacular race horse and he is a spectacular specimen. I'm sure he will continue to make a positive impact on our breed through his offspring.”

The 3-year-old Texas-bred son of leading second crop sire The Louisiana Cartel was undefeated this season with stakes victories from the east coast to the mountains of southern New Mexico.

Ec Jet One won the $2.4 million All American Derby(G1) at Ruidoso Downs last month, the Hialeah Derby in January and the South Florida Derby in February.

A leading contender for year-end AQHA Racing championship honors, Ec Jet One is currently #1 in the AQHA Racing-Horseplayernow.com Top 10 Poll for 3-year-olds and older this week (see related story).

Last season he was third in the Grade 2 $621,000 Sam Houston Derby and his only off-the-board appearance in 10 starts was in the Grade 1 $1,151,777 Texas Classic Futurity(G1) where he started as the fastest qualifier.

In two seasons to race Ec Jet One has compiled a (10) 8-0-1 record and earned $1,370,385. Leading national trainer Judd Kearl conditioned the stallion with Esgar Ramirez riding.

The stallion was a winner at every racetrack, including Sam Houston Race Park, Lone Star Park, Hialeah Park and Ruidoso Downs, as well as every distance (from 330 to 440) he started.

Ec Jet On is out of the unraced Mr Jess Perry mare Pretty Girl Perry, dam of 3 winners including stakes-placed Alizee. The second dam is a stakes winning track record setting daughter of Light On Cash, Brasis SI 115, a sister to stakes-placed Rosa Dash.

These two bloodlines combine 2016's Leading Second Crop Sire on 2016's Leading broodmare sire.
