One Fabulous Eagle Retired, Arrives at Royal Vista Ranches

WAYNE, OK—NOVEMBER 17, 2016—Stakes winner and G1-placed One Fabulous Eagle SI 97 arrived in Oklahoma today to begin stud duties in 2017 at Royal Vista Ranches, near Wayne. His fee has been set at $3,500 with consideration to approved mares.

Raced by Darling Farms, Royal Vista Ranches and Bobby D. Cox purchased an interest in the 3-year-old stallion earlier this year.

Royal Vista co-owner Laura Wipf-Erickson said ''It's very special to get a horse of One Fabulous Eagle's caliber after he has accomplished so much. His sire (One Famous Eagle) is the current leading sire of money earners and was the all-time leading first crop sire in history.''

One Fabulous Eagle won or placed in eight of 11 career starts while banking $664,547. He won the Corona Cartel Invitational Derby at Ruidoso Downs, was second in the Grade 1 $3 million All American Futurity and third in the Grade 1 $750,000 Ruidoso Futurity. He was also a finalist to the Grade 1 All American Derby and Grade 1 Texas Classic Derby. Kasey Willis trained him.

His sire One Famous Eagle ($1,387,454) was the 2008 AQHA Racing Champion 3-Year-Old Colt. In five crops to race, he has sired 241 winners, 100 stakes horses (21%), 2 champions, earnings of more than $18 million and average earnings per starter of nearly $42,000.

One Fabulous Eagle is out of the unraced multiple stakes producing Strawfly Special mare Ladys Heart Of Gold, dam of 7 ROM winners from 7 to race including One Fabulous Eagle SI 97 (see above), stakes winners and G1-placed Eagle On The Fly SI 103 ($229,244), All American Derby-G1 finalist The Ultimate Eagle SI 97 ($129,675 to 5, 2016), stakes-placed La Pescadora SI 91 ($16,731), stakes-placed PC SI 85 ($9,607) and G3-finalist Forty Carat Eagle SI 80 (winner at 2, 2015).

The second dam is the G2-placed Heza Fast Man mare Strength Of Heart SI 104 ($57,266), dam of 3 ROM winners form 3 to race including Grade 1 winner Strength In Numbers SI 102 ($266,993), a sister to the dam of One Fabulous Eagle.

Strength Of Heart is also the granddam of stakes winner Lonely In Front Br SI 97 ($24,412), stakes-placed Love To Reason Br SI 106 ($13,588), stakes-placed Jagger SI 89 (winner at 2, $13,302), etc.
