Jess Elie Gets First Stakes Winner as Broodmare Sire

VILLE PLATTE, LA—MARCH 22, 2018—Jess Elie, a stakes siring of leading sire Mr Jess Perry, got his first stakes winner as broodmare sire on Wednesday when Going Noble won the Grade 3 $238,090 Harrah's Entertainment Futurity at Louisiana Downs.

Going Noble is out of the Jess Elie mare A Noble Jess Elie.

With leading Louisiana Downs rider Everardo Rodriguez aboard, the homebred for owner-breeder Mercy Hinklin Horse Farm LLC, was also the fastest qualifier in the March 3 trials.

Despite breaking outwardly from post position ten, Going Noble powered to an impressive 1-¼ length win while completing the 300-yard final in :15.258, earning a 102 speed index.

The son of second-crop sire FDD Going Grand has earned $109,541.

From two crops to race, Jess Elie is the dam sire of 2 winners from 3 starters with earnings of $110,849. His daughter's top performers Going Noble SI 102 (Grade 3 winner at 2, 2018, see above) and First Crown Triple SI 80 (Winner, $1,103, out of the Copoacorona Special mare First Crown Copa).
