Third Crop Sire High Rate Of Return Dies

NORMAN, OK—MAY 6, 2018— Grade 1 winner and third-crop sire High Rate Of Return SI 94 died today (Sunday) of unknown causes at Bob Moore Farms where he has stood since retirement from racing.

A spokesman for the Norman, Oklahoma farm said the 9-year-old stallion was found this evening in his paddock just minutes after being seen happy and healthy by the ranch staff. There was no sign of a struggle. He has been transported to Oklahoma State University in Stillwater where he will undergo a necropsy in hopes of finding the cause of death.

"It truly saddens me to lose this horse, it was like bringing home a family member when he came here," Bob Moore Farm General Manager Phillip Stewart said late Sunday.
