First Year Stallions To C Hangin C Performance Horses For 2021

WYNNEWOOD, OK—NOVEMBER 7, 2020— A Sweet Jess SI 90, a half-brother to multiple stakes sires One Dashing Eagle and One Sweet Jess, and Ryder Rite, an unraced brother to Golden State Derby(G2) winner Rite Regal, will begin their stallion careers at C Hangin C Performance Horses in Wynnewood, Oklahoma in 2021. Their fees have been set at $850 each with consideration.

Cavenaugh Quarter Horses, LLC owns both these royally bred young stallion prospects who are enrolled in the Oklahoma-Bred program.

A SWEET JESS

The second high-selling yearling at the 2018 Ruidoso Select Sale for $300,000, A Sweet Jess is a son of leading sire Apollitical Jess from the "blue hen" mare One Sweet Dash by First Down Dash. He won or placed in three of eight career starts.

A Sweet Jess' sire, world champion Apollitical Jess SI 107 ($1,399,831), won the Los Alamitos Super Derby(G1), Champion of Champions(G1) and was second in the Los Alamitos Two Million Futurity(G1) and All American Derby(G1).

Apollitical Jess is a leading sire from only seven crops to race with 416 winners (68%) 141 black type (23%), 7 champions, earners in excess of $37 million with average earnings per start over $60,700 to date.

Grade 1 winner Favorite Cartel SI 105 ($607,669) won or placed in 15 of 25 career starts with wins in the AQHA Challenge Championship(G1), Los Alamitos Championship Challenge(G2), Paul B Ford Memorial H.
