COOLIDGE, AZ—DECEMBER 02, 2020—Martha Well's multiple Grade 1 winner Tell Cartel SI 105 will retire from racing following the Champion of Champions(G1) to stand at stud at Fales Ranch in Coolidge, Arizona. His fee has been set at $5,500.

The two-time Grade 1 winning son of 2020's leading sire of money earners Favorite Cartel won or placed in 13 of 18 career starts. He won the Los Alamitos Super Derby(G1), Los Alamitos Winter Derby(G1) and the El Primero Del Ano Derby(G3). He was second in the PCQHRA Breeders' Futurity(G2) and third in the Pat Hyland Memorial. Tell Cartel also qualified for the Golden Derby Derby(G2), Los Alamitos Juvenile Invitational and California Breeders Freshman Stakes.

"All my favorite horses in history won the Champion of Champions as 3-year-olds," trainer Matthew Fales said following Tell Cartel's win in the richest Los Alamitos Super Derby(G1) in history on November 7th. "To do that would just be incredible. I think (the extra 40 yards) will be an advantage for him. I feel like he was accelerating at the end of this race instead of getting caught. If he can catch one more gear, it’s there for us."
