KAPLAN, LA—SEPTEMBER 29, 2021—Champion sire Ivory James SI 103 will stand the 2022 season at Cox Stallion Station in Kaplan, Louisiana. A son of leading sire Corona Cartel and a full brother to leading sire Pyc Paint Your Wagon, Ivory James is owned by Bobby D. Cox, Sylvia Shaw Pitman and E.H. Pitman.

According to Cox Stallion Station manager Jerome Bellard, his 2002 fee will be announced shortly.

Bill Melson, long-time manager for Bobby D. Cox's horse and cattle operations thanked Laura Erickson and Royal Vista Ranches for the quality job they did standing Ivory James. Since Cox Stallion Station begin operations in 2019, several stallions in which Cox owns an interest have moved to Louisiana to take advantage of the lucrative Louisiana-Bred program.

From 11 crops to race, Ivory James has sired 538 winners (62%), 127 black type (15%), earners of more than $19.5 million with average earnings per starter in excess of $22,750. He is ranked second in the nation in money earners in 2021 among sons of "sire of sires" Corona Cartel.
