VILLE PLATTE, LA–NOVEMBER 15, 2022–San Gregorio Racing Stables, Inc. announced today its champion and multiple grade 1 sire Five Bar Cartel SI 91 will stand the 2023 season at Tate Farms in Ville Platte, Louisiana. Is fee has been set at $4,500, however early breeders can breed for $2,750 if they pay in full by February 15.

From five crops to reach racing age Five Bar Cartel has sired 200 winners, 43 black type (13%), earners of more than $7 million with average earnings per starter of nearly $21,350.

He was also a finalist in the  Los Alamitos Two Million Futurity(G1), Golden State Million Futurity(G1), and the Los Alamitos Super Derby(G1).

His sire Corona Cartel is the "leading living sire" of money earners with 184 stakes winners, 10 champions and earnings of more than $66 million. Also, known as a "sire of sires", his leading sons at stud include Pyc Paint Your Wagon, The Louisiana Cartel, Teller Cartel, Ivory James, etc.

Five Bar Cartel's dam is the Grade 1 winning Dash Ta Fame mare Five Bar Molly SI 107 ($187,109). She is the dam of 13 winners, 4 black type, 1 champion including Five Bar Cartel SI 91 (champion, see above), RG2-winner Fly Bar Special SI 103 (5 wins, $110,787), G1-placed Freedom Choice SI 88 ($281,423, 3rd in the Los Alamitos Two-Million Futurity(G1), etc.), G1-placed Cartels Big Gun SI 90 ($42,092), etc.

Five Bar Molly is also the dam of millionaire sire Majestic Cartel, an unraced $180,000 Ruidoso Select Sale graduate and brother to Five Bar Cartel. She is also the granddam of Robert Adair Kindergarten Futurity(G1) winner La Jaconde SI 94 ($271,966) and stakes-placed Jess Flashee Si 95 ($37,653 at 2), etc.
