NEW ORLEANS, LA—AUGUST 18, 2012—Q-Racing Aces Martha Claussen will make an appearance at Fair Grounds today (Saturday, August 18) as part of their action-packed twilight racing card. Post time is set for 4:00 pm and the festivities will include camel, ostrich and mascot races, as well as the inaugural Tails & Ales Presented by Abita beer tasting in the Clubhouse.

Claussen has been affiliated with the Q-Racing Aces, a fan education program initiated by the American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA), since 2010. She and the other members of the Q-Racing Aces have traveled to racetracks across the country to promote the sport, provide fan education services and create excitement for "America's Fastest Athletes".

The Q-Racing Aces foster an up close and personal approach with fans and welcome any and all questions on Quarter Horse racing and handicapping. The Q-Racing Aces have made visits to Los Alamitos, Remington Park, Sandy Downs, Sam Houston Race Park, Delta Downs, Canterbury Park, Fort Erie, Prairie Meadows, Evangeline Downs, Arapahoe Park and Ruidoso Downs.

On Saturday, August 18 Claussen will join Jim Mulvihill, Fair Grounds Communications & Pari-Mutuel Marketing Manager for a pre-race show and will offer her analysis of the races in paddock previews. She will have free wagering handouts, courtesy of the AQHA and will give fans a complimentary tip sheet. Last year at Fair Grounds, Claussen picked seven winners on the card and hopes to top that performance this year.
